Laser processing of porous metal Celmet! What about cutting and punching?
Porous Metal Celmet has up to 98% porosity and is expected to improve the filling, retention, and current collection of active materials in nickel-hydrogen batteries and is expected to be applied to many applications such as electrode materials for fuel cells and hydrogen generators targeting the “hydrogen society”.
In response to the demand for further weight reduction, we have succeeded in processing fine holes at high speed and in orderly manner with a laser. Cutting of complex free-form curves is also available.
