The latest laser high-speed decorative technology for laser and roll-to-roll production
Laser processing in the decorative industry is known for a relatively narrow range of processing, such as marking and partial paint removal. However, the technology for laser decoration of films (plastic and metal foil) used in large quantities in the automotive, home appliance, and telecommunications equipment industries has not been developed due to its high technical difficulty, despite long-standing demand for such technology.
WIRED has developed high-speed drawing technology based on its patented GHS® (Grand Helical Scan) technology and by applying advanced control technology. In addition to the technology of applying hole processing to the entire film to be rolled forward, this technology made it possible to process the desired icon in large quantities at high speed.
For example, when light is irradiated from the back of the film, only the icon appears to float up. This technology is expected to be utilized in many applications. GHS® has thus perfected drawing technology in addition to hole punching and cutting
Ⅰ.Please watch the movie of WIRED’s logo processing.
「Oh no, the “W” in WIRED is pointing down!」
「Look at it backwards, backwards! Oh, come on, you do not know that! 」
Ⅱ.Unsolicited icon
「What is this?」
「I have no idea.」
